As a current special education teacher in Washington County Public Schools, Brenda believes in the power of education and its importance for a viable society. Brenda supports school choice and advocates for parents to decide where their student attends school; especially if the child is in a failing school and the tax dollars must follow the student. She also supports the B.O.O.S.T. program, which stands for Broadening Options and Opportunities for Students Today. Scholarship funding is available for low income students and families in grades K-12 to attend eligible non-public or private schools in Maryland.

With recent audits across several state agencies, 1.2 billion dollars is unaccounted for, and taxpayers should be concerned. Findings in the audits have occurred year after year, and an Inspector General would help mitigate this problem.
